The Military Police Regiment (憲兵団, Kenpeidan), also known as the MP, is an organization within the Attack on Titan universe. They are one of the three branches of the military, alongside the Garrison and the Survey Corps.
Membership in the Military Police is considered highly desirable, as their primary duty is maintaining order within the inner walls, offering a relatively safe and comfortable life compared to the dangers faced by the other branches. As a result, access to the MP is generally limited to the top ten graduates from each Training Corps squad.
Due to their perceived privilege and lack of engagement with Titans, the Military Police are often viewed with disdain by members of the Survey Corps and the general population. They are frequently portrayed as corrupt and ineffective, more concerned with personal gain and bureaucratic red tape than the safety of the people.
Despite their negative image, some members of the Military Police are dedicated to their duties and strive to uphold justice. However, the organization's overall structure and leadership contribute to its reputation as an inefficient and self-serving entity.
